a glimpse into the mind of a crazy...

According to some, all women are crazy. If this is the case, then enjoy looking into the mind of one. :P

Valleyfair!

Hey all, sorry for the lack of posts....life has been busy. :) I'm working at Valleyfair Amusement park in Shakopee, MN. Its going really well, a LOT better then expected. Now that tech week is done, I can practice for 40 minutes, and then work for 20 minutes. That cycle continues for 6 hours each day. Can't really beat that.

I'm at Beckers right now, since those crappy Valleyfair dorms dont' have any internet. (yeah, its pretty frustrating) Stuff is good with him too; I'm really really happy!!! :D Tomorrow afternoon we're having a barbeque at his home with all the guys from the Benchwarmerz (minus Dave and Jeremy) and Trevor (our manager) is stopping by too. It'll be a good time.

Trombone is ok....switching from the small jazz horn to my pretty new classical horn is tough...its hard to keep that great sound on a bigger horn. Oh well...one of the down sides to the job.

Now on to the "bad stuff." My mom is having surgery soon, kind of a routine one, but its still a little scary for me. At least its not cancer. My grandpa isn't doing very well, he's had to move in to hospice care for 2 weeks. After that, he'll either be back at home or sent to a more "permenant" residence. So that is tough on my grandma. Its just a difficult time for my family right now.

I miss everyone so much....Eau Clarians....family, (Bex, Josh, Ash, parents and new brother James) and professors even. Its just hard to be away. Glad I'm making money, but now I'm about ready to be back at school. I'll write more over the next few days....its time to take a LONG shower, and then enjoy my day off tomorrow! (gotta love Fridays!)

Love you all,

Rachel

I'm exhausted, so I'll make this quick. I don't think I've EVER tried cramming so much into so little time before. Between practicing, family time now that Ashley's home, spending some time with the grandparents I probably will never see again after this summer, quality friend time and work hours, I'M FREAKING EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!

-shopping w/grandma

-work
-youth group
-over to Tims for the evening

Rachel

stuff. (its the most original title i can come up with today)

Here is what is going on:

-Kate came over and helped me wash all 3 cars.
-Worked & made money.
-Mandy slept over last night (we watched movies and hung out)
-Played trombone. It was good.
-Ashley flew in from Washington. (she only weighs like 98 lbs now....needless to say, I was concerned)
-Lunch w/Ash and Mom today
-Family dinner tonight. (expensive wine will be there, so I'm happy)
-Visiting Sandra, who just had her wisdom teeth out.
-Packing for my move back to Eau Claire.
-Sleeping over at Mike's.

Thats it.

Love,
Rachel
